“I would tell the average person about the SOAR program, that it is really something that every real estate agent, no matter if you’re a young agent, a new agent, older agent, you will definitely gain something from this program. I think the main thing that you would you would understand is how to structure your business in such a way that you can gain most from the market, help most of your buyers and sellers. And it’s just a win-win for everyone. It really fine tunes your business in such a way that you just be set up for success.

I’m not a person that likes to call a bunch of people because it’s just a, to me, lots of times, it seems like a waste of time because I’m so busy and it’s actually just the opposite. One of the reasons why you are so busy is because of the contacts of the people that, you know, lots of times you are already contacting people. You just don’t realize that’s what you’re doing. So what I’ve learned is if I take a particular time to call these people or contact them in such a way where I can communicate with them, it makes all the difference. And if that’s the mode I’m in one person just leads to another, that leads to another, and it’s just very beneficial. So that’s how it, my database expands.

SOAR has impacted my business plan in a really big way. I am totally changing my whole thought process. You know, as agents, we see a lot of programs that come and go, people advertise to us all the time. We see other agents that are doing really well and we wonder what they’re doing. And this was the program that was suggested to us by our, our direct, our directors at fathom. And we didn’t have to take the program, but they suggested that we do. And one of the reasons is because it will help you understand what you’re doing and why you were doing it. And then when you take the class, you realize that a lot of agents you see who are implementing things that are similar to this, it’s just a wonderful, wonderful observation. You realize this is what you should have been doing all along, but this particular program, and my, my opinion really leads you to expand your business in the way that’s best for you. It’s not one particular way and only one way to do it. It gives you the tools you need to, to just do it just for you. If it’s, if you’re just a buyer’s agent or if you want to be a business owner and have other agents work with you, it’s really team-oriented, and I really liked that.

I know that when people start to go to the new session of something like a solar program, and I know that they’re going to need to go for a few more times, they’re kind of skeptical and they wonder what they’re going to be learning. And one of the things I really liked about Shon’s presentation is that he told you right up front, what you were going to learn, what you were going to need to do and how it was going to help you. All of those things were correct. And everybody that came today, I know is implementing something or another and are planning to take the class again. So I think it’s a great, a great program.

I think the main question that I’ve been asking myself this whole time is why am I afraid to implement some of these tools that I’m really already doing anyway, but I’m not doing them effectively. There’s something to be said for being busy and working busy or working smart.”
